Vehicles production in Canada: Decrease in 2017

According to numbers published by OICA, in 2017 the indicator went down by 7.21%. Vehicle production decreased from 2 370 656 to 2 199 789, contrarily to the previous year when it climbed by 3.83%. The overall changes for the prior 21 years hit a decrease of 2.53%. As well as it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.02% over the last five years with a negligible overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 2 408 650.19 from 1997 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 3 058 813 in 1999 and record low of 1 490 482 in 2009.
