Talc production in Peru decreases in 2017

The indicator went down by 12.9% in comparison to the year before, according to numbers released by U.S. Geological Survey. Talc production fell from 23 722 metric ton to 20 663 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 11.42 percent. Peru saw a raise of 85.07% in talc production over the past 20 years. However, it has had a decrease at a 0.09 percent compound annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 17 361.05 metric ton from 1998 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 32 899 metric ton in 2013 and record low of 9 171 metric ton in 2007.
