Talc production in Peru decreases in 2015

According to adjusted data announced by U.S. Geological Survey, talc production dropped by 7.16% in comparison to the previous year. The indicator declined from 28 847 metric ton in 2014 to 26 781 metric ton prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 12.32%. Peru saw a rise of 139.87% in talc production over the past 18 years. However, it has attained a drop at a 0.01 percent average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall increase since the 1998. It averaged 16 824.22 metric ton from 1998 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 32 899 metric ton in 2013 and record low of 9 171 metric ton in 2007.
