Production of yarn of synthetic staple fibres not packaged for retail sale in Spain: Rise in 2017

European Commission published that compared to 2016 yarn production increased by 10.17%. The indicator climbed by 1 809 000 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 2.55 percent. Spain saw a fall of 39.25% in yarn production during the last 23 years. Besides, it has had a growth at a 0.04 percent compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 19 606 043.48 kilogram from 1995 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 38 762 000 kilogram in 2001 and record low of 15 326 000 kilogram in 2009.
