Import of live pure-bred breeding horses to Mexico increases in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that horses import greatly climbed by 191.98% in 2017. The indicator went up sharply from 174 919 US Dollar in 2016 to 510 721 US Dollar previous year, in contrast to the prior year when it decreased by 64.42 percent. Mexico saw a decline of 58.64% in horses import during the last 28 years. Moreover, it has had a raise at a 0.11 percent average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a modest overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 576 095.25 US Dollar from 1990 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 279 069 US Dollar in 1997 and record low of 46 500 US Dollar in 2010.
