Import of herbicides, anti-sprouting products and plant-growth regulators to Costa Rica climbs in 2016

According to revised numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office, the indicator went up by 11.47% in comparison with the previous year. It highlights the all-time maximum since 1994 as specialty chemicals import grew by 749 755 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it dropped by 1.68%. Costa Rica saw a growth of 128.2% in specialty chemicals import over the past 23 years. Moreover, it has attained a 0.06% compound annual growth rate during the five years with a slight overall increase since the 1994. It averaged 4 284 906.3 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 2 100 010 kilogram in 2009.
