Import of yarn of synthetic staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Netherlands: Growth in 2017

Yarn import climbed slightly by 1.04% in comparison to the previous year, according to numbers published by European Commission. The indicator rose hardly from 964 900 kilogram to 974 900 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it decreased by 50.83%. Netherlands saw a rise of 36.58% in yarn import over the past 10 years. Still it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.12 percent over the last five years with a modest overall growth since the 2008. It averaged 1 348 590 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 3 013 100 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 713 800 kilogram in 2008.
