Import of prepared or preserved sardine, brisling, sprat to Sri Lanka climbs in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that compared to the previous year processed fish import increased greatly by 57.31 percent. Processed fish import sharply climbed by 6 832.88 US Dollar, in contrast to the prior year when it dropped by 21.22 percent. The overall changes for the previous 28 years reached a drop of 93.8%. Besides, it has had a diminution at a 0.01 percent average annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall decline since the 1990. It averaged 110 137.46 US Dollar from 1990 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 729 383 US Dollar in 2011 and record low of 4 992 US Dollar in 1999.
