New vehicles registrations in Malaysia: Rise in 2017

Vehicle registration increased slightly by 1.89% in comparison with the prior year, updated statistics from OICA display. Vehicle registration negligibly rose by 10 972, compared with the previous year when it dropped by 12.98%. Malaysia saw a raise of 7.27% in vehicle registration over the past 13 years. Though, it has attained a decline at a 0.02% compound annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 585 168.85 from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 666 677 in 2015 and record low of 487 176 in 2007.
