Export of hand towels from Malta: Decline in 2017

In comparison with the previous year houseware export went down by 12.7%, according to new numbers announced by European Commission. The indicator dropped from 1 890 Euro in 2016 to 1 650 Euro previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 54.68 percent. Malta saw a drop of 77.3% in houseware export over the past 15 years. Besides, it has attained a fall at a 0.22% compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a marginal overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 18 184.67 Euro from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 75 090 Euro in 2005 and record low of 30 Euro in 2010.
