Import of castor oil or fractions to Iceland: Increase in 2017

In 2017 castor oil import went up greatly by 364.39 percent, updated figures from United Nations Statistical Office constitute. The variable sharply increased by 962 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it declined by 43.35%. The overall changes for the prior 30 years attained a decrease of 68.66%. Besides, it has attained a diminution at a 0.37 percent compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 12 017.13 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 42 879 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 264 kilogram in 2016.
