Main Energy Indicators

  • Crude Oil Import

  • Crude Oil Export

  • Natural Gas Import

  • Natural Gas Export

  • Energy Consumption

Sum of the energy supplied to consumers for all energy uses, usually expressed in thousand tonnes of oil equivalent. It can be measured as final energy consumption or as primary energy consumption. Final energy consumption refers to the total energy consumed by end users, such as households, industry, commerce, public administration, services and agriculture. It excludes energy which is used by the energy sector itself, including for deliveries and transformation. It also excludes fuel transformed in the electrical power stations of industrial auto-producers and coke transformed into blast-furnace gas where this is not part of overall industrial consumption but of the transformation sector. Subsequently, primary energy consumption comprises the total energy demand of a country and covers consumption of the energy sector itself, losses during during transformation (for example, from oil or gas into electricity) and distribution of energy, as well as the already mentioned final consumption by end users.
