Import of medicaments containing hormones but not antibiotics for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, not put up in measured doses or for retail sale to Belgium increases in 2016

According to new figures issued by European Commission, in 2016 the indicator went up sharply by 417.61 percent. Hormones import rose strongly by 16 049 430 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 51.54 percent. The overall changes for the prior 17 years hit a rise of 369.53%. Besides, it has had a 0.64 percent average annual growth rate during the five years with a modest overall increase since the 2000. It averaged 6 153 589.53 Euro from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 51 601 552 Euro in 2007 and record low of 551 770 Euro in 2008.
