Production of not whole leather of bovine animals in France: Rise in 2016

According to numbers released by European Commission, in 2016 leather production grew by 7.8 percent. Leather production rose from 804 680 kilogram to 867 469 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it dropped by 15.98 percent. France saw a drop of 64.5% in leather production during the last 15 years. Moreover, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.04% over the 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the 2002. It averaged 816 374.6 kilogram from 2002 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 2 702 326 kilogram in 2010 and record low of 804 680 kilogram in 2015.
