According to adjusted numbers announced by European Commission, in 2017 flax yarn export dropped by 17.79%. The indicator declined by 55 500 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 3.91 percent. Spain saw a decline of 12.16% in flax yarn export during the last 15 years. Moreover, it has had a drop at a 0.01% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 248 293.33 kilogram from 2003 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 372 800 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 114 300 kilogram in 2009.
