Sales of fresh or chilled hams, shoulders and cuts of pig meat in Greece climbs in 2016

European Commission published that in 2016 the indicator negligibly went up by 2.19%. Pig meat sales climbed hardly by 181.78 thousand kilograms, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 24.16%. It's new all-time maximum since 1995. Greece saw a increase of 69.24% in pig meat sales over the past 22 years. Likewise, it has attained a 0.97% compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 2 382.46 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 1.67 thousand kilograms in 2000.
