Export of fresh or chilled garlic from Switzerland goes down in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that in comparison to the previous year garlic export greatly fell by 80.77 percent. The indicator dropped sharply from 47 598 US Dollar in 2016 to 9 155.35 US Dollar prior year, versus the previous year when it increased by 16.99%. Switzerland saw a drop of 88.03% in garlic export over the past 30 years. Compared with its average, the garlic export is now lower as the mean equals 35 363.14 US Dollar and the variable shows a negligible overall decrease since the start of time series. It reached its all-time high of 119 254 US Dollar in 1990 and record low of 3 724 US Dollar in 2000.
