Worldwide lead in concentrates production: Stagnancy in 2017

The variable remained the same in comparison to the previous year, new figures from U.S. Geological Survey highlight. For the 2nd consecutive year, the indicator hasn't changed at 4 820 000 metric ton. The variable saw a 57.52% increase during the last 20 years. However, it has attained a fall at a 0.03 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 3 957 500 metric ton from 1998 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 5 490 000 metric ton in 2013 and record low of 2 870 000 metric ton in 2002.
