World lead in concentrates production: Decline in 2016

Lead production declined negligibly by 2.63 percent in comparison to the prior year, according to new figures published by U.S. Geological Survey. The variable dropped hardly by 130 000 metric ton, in contrast to the previous year when it rose by 1.64%. The indicator saw a 57.52% rise over the past 19 years. Though, it has attained a negative CAGR of 0.01 percent during the last 5 years with a modest overall increase since the 1998. It averaged 3 912 105.26 metric ton from 1998 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 5 490 000 metric ton in 2013 and record low of 2 870 000 metric ton in 2002.
