Chromium consumption in Oman falls in 2015

According to revised numbers issued by U.S. Geological Survey, in comparison to 2014 chromium consumption dropped by 6.49 percent. The indicator fell by 15 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 4.94 percent. Oman saw a growth of 10 700% in chromium consumption over the past 13 years. As well as it has shown the compound average annual growth rate of 0.03 percent during the 5 years with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 83.97 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 243 thousand tonnes in 2013 and record low of -34 thousand tonnes in 2008.
