Export of folding cartons, boxes and cases, of non-corrugated paper or paperboard from Japan drops in 2017

In 2017 the indicator went down by 10.56 percent, according to numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office. Consumer goods export declined by 442 231 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it went up by 34.03%. Japan saw an increase of 16.74% in consumer goods export over the past 30 years. However, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.01 percent over the last five years with a modest overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 4 123 169.3 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 8 086 133 kilogram in 1994 and record low of 2 050 654 kilogram in 2009.
