Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Greece rises in 2016

The variable barely climbed by 2.42% in comparison to the previous year, according to figures issued by European Commission. Yarn import went up hardly from 33 000 kilogram in 2015 to 33 800 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 139.13%. Greece saw a rise of 576% in yarn import over the past 9 years. Still it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.11% during the last five years with a negligible overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 30 766.67 kilogram from 2008 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 105 500 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 2 700 kilogram in 2010.
