According to figures released by United Nations Statistical Office, processed food import rose strongly by 115.47% in comparison to the prior year. It attained its 17-year peak as processed food import sharply increased from 15 238 kilogram to 32 833 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 21.06%. Oman saw a raise of 1 287.11% in processed food import over the past 17 years. Likewise, it has shown a growth at a 0.1 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 6 833.53 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 375 kilogram in 2006.
