Import of jams, fruit jellies, purees and pastes to Spain increases in 2016

According to updated numbers announced by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2016 confectionary import went up by 24.6%. It's the highest record in its history since 1989 as confectionary import rose by 5 172 074 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 37.44%. Spain saw a rise of 1 451.9% in confectionary import over the past 28 years. Besides, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.12 percent over the 5 years with a marginal overall increase since the 1989. It averaged 8 855 318.82 kilogram from 1989 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 1 688 259 kilogram in 1989.
