Export of crushed or ground pepper of the genus piper from Fiji increases in 2016

In 2016 pepper export greatly went up by 709.38%, according to updated data presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator increased sharply by 908 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it went down by 92.55 percent. Fiji saw a growth of 485.31% in pepper export during the last 15 years. As well as it has attained the average annual growth rate of 0.11% during the 5 years with a modest overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 995.8 kilogram from 2002 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 4 430 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 15 kilogram in 2006.
