Naphtha export in Kuwait: Decline in April 2018

According to adjusted numbers presented by JODI Data, compared with March naphtha export declined negligibly by 4.99 percent. The indicator hardly fell by 170 thousand barrels, in contrast to the previous month when it increased by 38.39 percent. The year before, the variable was decreasing by -38.88% and hit 2 520 thousand barrels the same month in 2017. Year-on-year, this shows a 28.57% variation between April 2017 and April 2018. Kuwait saw a drop of 42.57% in naphtha export during the last 9 years. Furthermore, the naphtha export is now below average of 4 480.81 thousand barrels with a slight overall fall since the 2009. It reached its all-time high of 8 401 thousand barrels in August 2009 and record low of 450 thousand barrels in June 2009.
