Stainlees steel scrap imports in United States declines in 2015

According to new statistics announced by U.S. Geological Survey, in 2015 the variable sharply decreased by 61.27%. Chromium import greatly declined from 426 000 thousand US Dollars in 2014 to 165 000 thousand US Dollars previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it grew by 101.9 percent. The overall changes for the previous 18 years hit a rise of 663.89%. Still it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.11% over the five years with a negligible overall increase since the 1998. It averaged 161 805.56 thousand US Dollars from 1998 to 2015 and it reached its all-time high of 426 000 thousand US Dollars in 2014 and record low of 21 600 thousand US Dollars in 1998.
