Export of building bricks from Costa Rica: Increase in 2016

According to new figures announced by United Nations Statistical Office, compared with the previous year the variable greatly grew by 6 860 percent. Building materials export went up sharply by 343 US Dollar, contrarily to the prior year when it went down by 78.26%. Costa Rica saw a fall of 91.77% in building materials export during the last 20 years. Likewise, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.7 percent over the five years with a slight overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 2 435.55 US Dollar from 1997 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 43 027 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 5 US Dollar in 2015.
