Import of active yeasts to Ethiopia: Fall in 2016

Compared to the previous year the indicator diminished by 17.6%, according to refreshed figures published by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable decreased from 5 730 113 kilogram in 2015 to 4 721 514 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 22.45%. Ethiopia saw an increase of 4 174.26% in import of active yeasts over the past 22 years. Moreover, it has attained a rise at a 0.06 percent compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 4 459 264.41 kilogram from 1995 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 46 712 956 kilogram in 1998 and record low of 110 464 kilogram in 1995.
