Average daily fuel oil consumption in China: Increase in 2015

In 2015 the indicator rose by 5.89 percent, refreshed data from China National Statistical Office indicate. Fuel oil consumption grew from 12.06 million metric tons to 12.77 million metric tons, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 11.36%. It reached its 16-year peak. China saw a rise of 20.7% in fuel oil consumption over the past 16 years. Moreover, it has shown an increase at a 0.05 percent average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a overall raise since the 2000. It averaged 8.02 million metric tons from 2000 to 2015 and it attained its minimum of 7.75 million metric tons in 2009.
