Tungsten production in Uganda: Fall in 2015

The indicator declined negligibly by 4.76% compared with the previous year, revised statistics from U.S. Geological Survey constitute. The variable hardly went down from 63 metric ton in 2014 to 60 metric ton prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 10.53 percent. Uganda saw a drop of 1 300% in tungsten production during the last 17 years. Moreover, it has shown the compound annual growth rate of 0.5% over the five years with a strong overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 35.24 metric ton from 1999 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 86 metric ton in 2007 and record low of -5 metric ton in 1999.
