Commercial vehicles in use in Sri Lanka: Increase in 2017

In comparison to the previous year commercial vehicles in use rose slightly by 4.77%, adjusted figures from OICA highlight. Commercial vehicles in use hardly increased from 837.3 thousand units to 877.28 thousand units, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 5.01 percent. It reveals the all-time high since 2005. Sri Lanka saw a growth of 65.67% in commercial vehicles in use over the past 13 years. Likewise, it has attained a 0.04 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a marginal overall raise since the 2005. It averaged 660.09 thousand units from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its minimum of 529.54 thousand units in 2005.
