Floor space of residential buildings sold in China rises in 2017

Building starts grew by 11.76% in comparison with the prior year, according to numbers issued by China National Statistical Office. It's the highest number in its history since 2000 as building starts climbed from 137 539.94 ten thousand square meter to 153 720.26 ten thousand square meter, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 22.35%. The overall changes for the prior 18 years hit an increase of 827.69%. Likewise, it has shown a rise at a 0.06 percent CAGR over the last 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the 2000. It averaged 75 409.86 ten thousand square meter from 2000 to 2017 and it reached its minimum of 16 570.28 ten thousand square meter in 2000.
