Export of electrical plugs and sockets from Uganda goes down in 2016

According to figures presented by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2016 the indicator greatly declined by 40.18%. Electrical equipment export sharply decreased by 2 633 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 39.09 percent. Uganda saw an increase of 4 800% in electrical equipment export over the past 16 years. However, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.3% over the 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the 2001. It averaged 4 611.38 kilogram from 2001 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 23 715 kilogram in 2012 and record low of 71 kilogram in 2006.
