Import of calcium carbonate to Cyprus increases in 2017

Import of calcium carbonate climbed sharply by 41.05% in 2017, according to adjusted figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator greatly increased from 855 316 kilogram in 2016 to 1 206 453 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 20.4 percent. Cyprus saw a rise of 28.1% in import of calcium carbonate during the last 29 years. As well as it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.04% over the five years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 1 824 625.72 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 2 669 208 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 710 384 kilogram in 2015.
