Number of beds in urban medical institutions in China grows in 2016

China National Statistical Office announced that hospital beds grew by 6.93 percent compared to the prior year. The indicator climbed from 341.82 ten thousand unit to 365.5 ten thousand unit, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 7.83%. It highlights the all-time peak since 2007. China saw a increase of 99.58% in hospital beds during the last 10 years. Furthermore, it has shown the compound annual growth rate of 0.06 percent during the five years with a slight overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 266.24 ten thousand unit from 2007 to 2016 and it attained its minimum of 183.13 ten thousand unit in 2007.
