Coal consumption in transport, storage and post in China declines in 2015

Compared to the previous year the variable decreased by 11.89 percent, according to adjusted numbers released by China National Statistical Office. Coal consumption declined by 66.37 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 9.33 percent. It indicates the all-time low since 2000. The overall changes for the previous 16 years reached a decline of 44.28%. Besides, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.05% during the last 5 years with a slight overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 721.84 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its maximum of 958.34 ten thousand metric ton in 2003.
