Import of lumber of coniferous (softwood) wood to Ireland rises in 2016

In 2016 wood product import went up slightly by 4.6 percent, new numbers from United Nations Statistical Office illustrate. The indicator rose negligibly from 252 425.97 cubic meter in 2015 to 264 049.84 cubic meter prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 17.88 percent. The overall changes for the prior 17 years attained a decrease of 75.66%. Besides, it has attained a 0.13 percent average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 436 154.23 cubic meter from 2000 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 084 749 cubic meter in 2000 and record low of 136 102.73 cubic meter in 2013.
