Import of flat plate, sheet, strip of copper-tin alloy to Uganda goes down in 2016

According to statistics released by United Nations Statistical Office, copper import fell strongly by 80.27 percent in comparison with the previous year. Copper import sharply dropped by 6 987 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it climbed by 4 682.42 percent. Uganda saw an increase of 2 501.52% in copper import over the past 23 years. Likewise, it has shown a growth at a 0.18 percent compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 1 031.74 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 8 704 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 45 kilogram in 1998.
