    Gross or net amount of electricity produced, usually expressed in gigawatt hours and measured as gross electricity production or net electricity production. Gross electricity generation refers to the total amount of electrical energy produced by transforming other forms of energy, for example fossil fuels, nuclear power or renewable energy sources.
