New vehicles registrations in Nigeria: Decrease in 2017

Compared with the previous year vehicle registration decreased strongly by 69.57 percent, according to revised numbers released by OICA. Vehicle registration greatly went down from 23 000 to 6 999, contrarily to the prior year when it climbed by 15%. It's new all-time low since 2005. Nigeria saw a decline of 69.57% in vehicle registration during the last 13 years. Moreover, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.33 percent during the 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 32 607.62 from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its maximum of 53 900 in 2014.
