Import of yarn of synthetic staple fibres not packaged for retail sale to Slovakia declines in 2017

According to figures published by European Commission, compared with the previous year the variable greatly diminished by 39.75%. Yarn import sharply went down by 1 548 100 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 23.44%. Slovakia saw a raise of 98.84% in yarn import over the past 15 years. However, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.09 percent over the last 5 years with a negligible overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 3 148 273.33 kilogram from 2003 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 9 395 200 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 1 180 200 kilogram in 2003.
