Re-import of welding machinery parts to South Africa: Decline in 2017

Industrial equipment import went down by 28.88% in 2017, according to new data released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator decreased from 2 394 US Dollar to 1 702.66 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 82.27 percent. The overall changes for the previous 16 years reached a diminution of 98.88%. Moreover, it has had a negative CAGR of 0.33% over the five years with a negligible overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 20 650.1 US Dollar from 2002 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 151 686 US Dollar in 2002 and record low of 144 US Dollar in 2008.
