New vehicles registrations in Saudi Arabia: Decrease in 2017

According to data presented by OICA, vehicle registration decreased by 16.36 percent in 2017. The indicator declined by 107 250, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 21.03%. The overall changes for the prior 13 years reached a drop of 2.6%. Besides, it has attained a fall at a 0.06 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 633 111.54 from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 830 100 in 2015 and record low of 520 000 in 2009.
