Import of medicaments of other antibiotics not packaged for retail sale to Austria goes down in 2017

Compared to the prior year antibiotic import fell sharply by 90.24 percent, updated statistics from European Commission illustrate. The variable declined strongly by 11 819 130 Euro, versus the previous year when it increased by 4.15%. Austria saw a growth of 46.03% in antibiotic import over the past 23 years. Though, it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.38 percent during the 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 6 746 127.83 Euro from 1995 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 16 932 910 Euro in 2011 and record low of 88 510 Euro in 1999.
