Import of tarpaulins, awnings and sunblinds of synthetic fibre to Uganda grows in 2016

Household textile import sharply increased by 99.12% in comparison with 2015, updated statistics from United Nations Statistical Office demonstrate. It shows the all-time peak since 1994 as household textile import grew strongly by 655 602 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went up by 106.68%. Uganda saw a rise of 255 634.37% in household textile import over the past 23 years. Likewise, it has shown the compound average annual growth rate of 0.23 percent during the last 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 293 029.61 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it hit its minimum of 515 kilogram in 1994.
