Number of cards with a delayed debit function in France does not change in 2017

Bank for International Settlements published that number of cards with a debit function held steady compared to the prior year. The number of cards with a debit function remained stable at 29.58 millions, for the 2nd consecutive year. The overall changes for the previous 11 years attained a growth of 7.33%. Besides, it has attained a 0.04% compound average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 27.78 millions from 2007 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 38.76 millions in 2014 and record low of 22.3 millions in 2011.
