Natural gas demand in Trinidad and Tobago decreases in May 2018

In May 2018 natural gas demand decreased by 10.72%, refreshed numbers from JODI Data illustrate. The variable dropped from 1 417.42 million cubic meters to 1 265.54 million cubic meters, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it diminished by 7.16%. The previous year, this fluctuation reached 1.29 percent and the natural gas demand attained 1 270.78 million cubic meters the same month the year before. Between May 2017 and the same month the year after, the statistics display a -0.41 percent variation. The overall changes for the previous 7 years hit a drop of 10.99%. Likewise, the natural gas demand is now below average of 1 328.52 million cubic meters with a moderate overall decline since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 2 025.75 million cubic meters in September 2017 and record low of 1 047.66 million cubic meters in September 2012.
