Mica production in United States: Drop in 2017

U.S. Geological Survey reported that compared with the prior year mica production dropped by 29.8%. It's the lowest ever observed since 1998 as the indicator diminished by 9 000 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 7.36%. United States saw a decline of 75.63% in mica production over the past 20 years. Likewise, it has shown a negative CAGR of 0.15 percent during the five years with a modest overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 69 850 metric ton from 1998 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 110 000 metric ton in 2006.
