Sales of vegetable by-products and waste for animal consumption in Austria: Fall in 2015

The variable declined by 7.09% compared with the previous year, refreshed figures from European Commission constitute. Food waste sales dropped by 599.27 thousand kilograms, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 49.91%. It reached its 13-year minimum. The overall changes for the previous 13 years hit a decrease of 62.28%. Likewise, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.15% over the 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 15 727.11 thousand kilograms from 2003 to 2015 and it attained its maximum of 27 483.35 thousand kilograms in 2009.
