New vehicles registrations in Nepal: Drop in 2017

According to statistics released by OICA, vehicle registration greatly declined by 60.54 percent in comparison with the previous year. The indicator strongly fell from 9 300 in 2016 to 3 670 prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it climbed by 57.63 percent. Nepal saw a growth of 162.14% in vehicle registration over the past 13 years. Still it has had a decrease at a 0.08 percent compound annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 4 236.15 from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 9 300 in 2016 and record low of 1 400 in 2005.
