Import of prepared or preserved bovine meat and offal to Uganda: Increase in 2016

According to data released by United Nations Statistical Office, processed bovine meat import rose strongly by 125.3% compared to the prior year. Processed bovine meat import greatly went up from 11 191 kilogram to 25 213 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 49.03%. Uganda saw a drop of 33.63% in processed bovine meat import over the past 23 years. As well as it has attained a rise at a 0.05 percent compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 21 334.91 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 142 504 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 1 kilogram in 2004.
